The lodge is set in a smallholding with its own private garden and has the most beautiful views of Dartmoor and open countryside all around you, if you like peace and quite it is the perfect place to stay with an abundance of wildlife. We have lovely gardens with a small lake with ducks and moorhens, which you are welcome to walk around.

The village of Winkleigh is 1 mile away where you will find The Kings Arms open all day, superb if you enjoy good food and good ale, there is also a butchers, Londis store, wet fish shop, post office, hairdressers and a doctors surgery.

Being situated in Mid Devon we are central to the North Devon coast and the South Coast ideal if you like walking the moors or cycling on the Tarka trail, golfing, fishing swimming, horse riding or you may like to stroll around the beautiful gardens of RHS Rosemoor which is only 10 minutes away, Dartmoor is 10 miles from here and the beaches on the North Devon coast approximately 20 miles, The Eden project approximately 1hr 40mins St Ives in Cornwall is 2 hours away.

We are 4 miles from the village of Iddesleigh, where the author of War Horse lives. The film set on Dartmoor is 10 miles from Winkleigh. Iddesleigh enjoys a very friendly old pub that serves very good quality food all day.

The Lodge has luxury furnishings, a master bedroom en-suite, twin beds in the second bedroom with guest bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen that includes oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and a television, you will feel right at home the moment you step inside. Gas central heating also means you'll be cosy and warm no matter what the weather brings.
